Jean Hindriks

Jean Hindriks is a senior fellow and founding member of Itinera. He is president of the Economics School of Louvain (UCL) and was part of the 2020-2040 Pension Committee, which later transitioned into the Academic Council for Pension Policy. His research focuses on pensions, good governance, and education. He provides regular commentary on these themes in the French-language press. Jean was co-director of the Center of Operations Research and Economics (CORE) and director of the undergraduate program in Economics and Management at UCL. As co-editor of numerous academic journals and member of the fiscal expert panel at the International Monetary Fund, he has authored several publications on public finance and political economy. Jean Hindriks is the author of several books, including The (Re)forming School (2018) and The Successful School (2017), in which he describes the educational landscape from an economic perspective and offers insights into key reforms.
