The necessity of reforming the banking system

At this moment comparable conclusions to those of our extraordinary parliamentary commission are being drawn all around the world. It would really be counterproductive to lead a strategy of divide and rule. Beyond party lines and political horizons, we cannot but reach the conclusion that banks are special entities with the potential to create a lot of risk for the overall economic stability. If banks have to be rescued in difficult times, they also have to respect certain limits; nobody, whatever the political conviction, can deny this.
