The Government budget or the story of the to avoid one-sidedness

Itinera organized for the first time the Itinera Summer Seminar. Around forty promising professionals coming from various horizons discussed the budgetary challenge, the impact of ageing on pensions and healthcare, and a sustainable Belgian energy policy. Over the coming weeks, the different topics of the Seminar will be presented to the public. This week: Budget and Taxes. The four speakers were Ivan Van de Cloot (Chief Economist Itinera Institute), Etienne de Callataÿ (Senior fellow Itinera Institute & Chief Economist Bank Degroof), Luc Cortebeeck (vice-president ILO & president workers’ group, Geneva) and Christian Valenduc (General Advisor for the Studies service of the Federal Public Service Finance).
