Joël Van Cauter

Joël Van Cauter is a fellow at Itinera. His research addresses the themes of poverty and citizenship. Joël studied philosophy at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and economics at UCLouvain, where he also obtained a PhD in philosophy. As an independent consultant, he conducts socio-economic research for institutions and private companies. He is a true jack-of-all-trades who has held positions in the political field, the non-profit sector, and the socio-economic sector. Joël Van Cauter is co-author of the report Good Governance in Brussels, in which he and Jean Hindriks take stock of government policy and propose concrete measures.
