For many years one has speculated on Google establishing itself as a bank. Banks are transforming themselves more than ever in an IT system connected to a marketing machine. It is not surprising that competition from a company as Google is looked at with special interest.

For the third time in a few years community service for the unemployed was recently proposed again. Superficial evaluations of these experiments abroad often indicate a reduction in the number of benefit recipients.

Critical economists had noticed it earlier but now the German Bundesbank also warns officially for a too strong increase in real estate prices in many German cities. The central bank talks about an overvaluation of 20%.

To challenge youth unemployment government policy has to be adapted to local realities. Merely to target European resources to regions where youth unemployment rate is above 25%, is inappropriate.

It’s the responsibility of everyone to try to canalize the energy of indignation to societal improvements. A prominent mechanism to avoid derailments is more transparency.
